Waiting for our Letter to be sent

Hello everyone! We have spoken to the IWK children's hospital in regards to Mei Lin's cleft palate and have completed our letter stating that we choose to adopt Mei Lin. The letter includes an indepth care and nurture plan that covers everything from cleft surgery to insurance to schooling and mentors! I think we done right good with it! ha ha!...(I'm in a silly mood!)

So Daniel dropped off the letter on Tuesday morning to the province and they told us they aren't sure yet if they want to meet with us first before sending the letter to China. Today is Thursday...they still haven't given me an answer...just send the letter people...we've chatted the death out of this one!

Our agency said that they would try to get us an update on Mei Lin...as the info we have on her is 8 months old. We aren't sure if her palate has been repaired or not. Often they are, but we have to prepare for it if it isn't. With the file being outdated...we also have no idea what size of clothing to buy for her...so an update will be good.

There is actually a family that just arrived in China today that are adopting a little girl from the same orphanage. They promised to get me as much info and pictures as they can of Mei Lin!...I can't wait! It's like Christmas!

Anyway...I just wanted to update you all on what is happening right now.

Once this letter is sent to China...we just sit and wait for them to send us a letter back (called a TA) that gives us approval to travel to China...and roughly two weeks after that...we go!

Take care! ~ Nat

Hi Natalie and Daniel...I just have this feeling that once the letter leaves PEI things will go quickly! I hope you get some updates in the meantime...once you find out her size it will be fun to go shopping! Hope everything goes quickly. Keep us posted.
