All things new!

Well, we survived our first Christmas as a family! It was wonderful, staying at home lighting the fireplace and sitting in the glow of the christmas tree lights!

On Christmas Eve, after Mei Lin had finally gone to bed (11ish), I sat and reflected for a moment and got a little teary eyed...I never thought the day would come that we wouldn't have to spend Christmas alone...childless.

What a blessing she is!!

Christmas morning went better than I thought it would. I thought she wouldn't really care...not knowing what was really going on...but she loved it!! Here is a picture of her playing with some of her favorite gifts:

She has just discovered what Santa left for her!

Her new kitchen from Grampy Gamble (loves it!!)

Her new broom and dustpan...they never leave her hands!!...check out the apron!!

Her first set of tracks in the snow! As you can tell...she wasn't moving too fast!!..it was more of a waddle side to side in her heavy snowsuit!

I have more pics to post...I will do it later though.

Today we took her to see the ear/nose and throat doctor. She will be getting tubes put into her little ears in the next couple of weeks. I suggested waiting for her cleft surgery and have it done at the same time...but the doc recommended that we do it as soon as possible. So, I guess we will get it done now.

I have lots more to write...but the princess calls!

What a wonderful Christmas you had!! I too got teary eyed this Christmas, but becuase my Channing isnt here. I sure hope & pray to God that I have her next Christmas or this waiting Mama will be having a nervous breakdown...lol!!
Looks like Mei Lin had a great time!! I love the tracks in the snow. And I bet before long she will be making cookies in her kitchen with Mom!!
Getting the tubes in the ears, isnt a big procedure (so I hear), my cousin got them down and worked like a charm!!
Anyways, just remembered I have to send your quilt square & wish. I will work on it later tonight!!!
