I contacted the province today to ask if they could contact us when they mail our amendment to our adoption agency in Ottawa. (My way of saying "did you even look at the piece of paper yet?")
She replied with "The director is not able to sign the letter until next Wednesday" Ugh! - "and we need you to write another letter of request (our 4th one)" - double Ugh!
She followed with - "Rest assured we will deal with this as expeditiously as possible" Uh, you said that 4 weeks ago lady! Who knows...maybe she means it this time. - Let's hope!
So it looks like we are looking at up to two more weeks before we finally have our little girls file.
I replied to the province stating that "we will have your new letter of request to you on Monday morning, and I will be calling you Wednesday afternoon to follow up and make sure everything is going as planned"
So I sent an email to our agency to inform them and beg them to hold the file for us until then.
I just keep telling myself...she's getting older by the week, but this will happen!
I am dealing with this through sarcasm...and laughter (and a few tears)
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi guys,
I have been following your story and praying (not just a saying, REALLY praying! I believe there is real POWER in prayer!)
Natalie & Daniel, Waiting is one of the most difficult tasks for us to endure, especially when we don't understand the reason for the wait. Even though we may not understand I believe God not only knows why but allows delays such as this to bless you. Trust Him!
HE has everything already planned out! HE knows the exact day that would be the best for you to travel. HE can see the future and knows whats best for you. For example: Have you ever heard stories from people whose lives were saved because of "delays"?
Example: A family is enjoying a family vacation and the daughter (adopted from China actually) gets sick in the back seat. The family turns to a gas station to clean up and make sure the little girl is ok. They are annoyed at the circumstances at the time as there has been a delay in the trip and now the van smells. After everything is cleaned up and the little girl feels better, they all get back in the van and continue on their trip. After driving a a few minutes down the road they come to find out there has been a major multi car accident just ahead. If their little girl had not gotten sick when she did and they did not pull into the gas station they would have been in that accident!!! Praise God for spairing them!
Even though we don't always understand or know why there are delays in our lives, We can Trust God! He knows what He is doing and will truley take care of us in our situations if we ask and believe in our hearts.
I found this verse in the bible for you,I hope it gives you strength.
" But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint" (Isa. 40:31).
God bless you, I will continue to pray for Gods blessings on you and your daughter. (From the promisekeepersdaughters Sister- Lori)
I am still praying for you all. You are doing an amazing job staying sane, I think. How is the agency during all this? I hope supportive to you. These are some mighty big labour pains, I can barely stand it!
