Sorry it's been such a long time since we last updated. We were kind of keeping things to ourselves for a while...but now that things are official...I will tell you what the secret is!
Daniel and I started this process last June and our file finally went to China in December/05 - so we have officially been waiting for our child for almost 6 months.
Since submitting our paperwork we have been educating ourselves on another program that China calls their "special needs" program. This program has children available for adoption that have minor correctable special needs such as Cleft, VSD (small hole in heart), extra fingers/toes, birthmarks etc. Daniel and I did not want to leave these kids out of our original request...so we asked the province to make an adjustment to our file (not the easiest thing to do mind you - we have been at it for 2 months). On Friday, we were finally told that we were approved to do this.
Now for the other part of the story....our agency that is in Ottawa, has a file of a little girl born Feb 28/05 with a cleft palate and they are sending it to us as soon as they get the letter from the province saying "yes, we are approved!"
So any day now, we will finally get to see our little girl! (Hopefully the province will not reject her file).
So everyone please say a prayer for us and keep all your fingers and toes crossed too!

Natalie and Daniel, congrats! How exciting is it to know you will soon see the picture? You know we all want to see that picture too! If you still can't post to your blog, could you post it on the PEI yahoo group? It's such great news. Best of luck!
